A neat and attractive dwarf tree fern with lush foliage. Finely divided emerald green leaves, rest on long arching fronds, emerging from a short black trunk in a symmetrical rosette pattern. Thrives in humid conditions.
During warm weather water regularly to maintain consistently moist soil. Provide good air circulation and do not overater as this will quickly cause bronze fronds. Reduce watering during the cooler months. Benefits from applications of slow release plant food and half strength foliar based fertilisers..\
lechnum prefers bright light with partial shade and a slightly warmer temperature.
However, it cannot survive in strong direct sun.
The plant requires high humidity during its growth period starting from mid-spring through late fall.
To maintain the humidity level, place the pot over a tray filled with moist pebbles throughout the warm season.
While the plant may regrow even if it gets frozen due to exposure to frost, it is not considered a frost-tolerant plant and should be protected from it.
